13. Hunters

There was one show that everyone was excited for when it was announced. Originally called The Hunt, the show name changed to Hunters. Starring Al Pacino, it offered us a period tale of Nazi hunters in the United States.

However, it wasn’t just as simple as hunting some Nazis down. The story included the Nazis trying to bring about the Fourth Reich. That was something the group of Nazi hunters had to uncover. And it’s actually how it all got started—with one hunter’s grandmother killed at the hands of a Nazi to keep his secret.

Hunters gave us a very real view of things that happened after the war. If you thought the Nazis were brought to justice, you’d be wrong. Many were able to flee and live their own lives around the world. Many were even given positions of power, something that the show touches on.

While the series did come under some scrutiny, for the most part, it was positively received. It ended with some excellent twists that make a second season necessary. Now we’re just patiently waiting for Amazon to finally make a decision. We have a lot of questions!
