Amazon’s most recent new Prime Original makes it to number two on the list and not because it’s Julia Roberts’ first TV role. The outstanding actress leads an excellent cast with a beautifully told conspiracy story.

Homecoming Season 1 is based on a podcast of the same name. Set in 30-minute episodes, it’s the perfect weekend binge but doesn’t allow any of the storyline to go amiss.

When Heidi Bergman gets a visit from the Department of Defense, she starts to think back to her old life. Once a caseworker at an establishment designed to help soldiers transition back into civilian life, she thinks about the real reason she left. Nope, it’s definitely not just to help her ailing mother.

Heidi soon learns that she left a conspiracy behind. Can she uncover the truth without falling back into the horrors of the world? What happens when the memories all start flooding back and what’s to come in the future?

Homecoming Season 1 has eight episodes to binge through. Homecoming Season 2 is coming to Amazon Prime Video in May 2020. It takes on a different storyline within the same world.
