November 10 sees the release of three movies across Amazon platforms. Here’s what you can watch either alone or with your family.

There are three movies available this weekend that you can watch through Amazon. One of these is through Amazon Prime Video and the other two you’ll need to get STARZ through Amazon Channels.

Whether you want something that is perfect for the whole family or you want to sit back and enjoy something alone, Nov. 10 is a good day. Here are the three movies to watch.

Frozen

Let’s get the STARZ drops out of the way. Today saw the release of Frozen. Yes, it’s the Disney movie that includes the song you heard over and over again in 2016, “Let It Go.” Seriously, every time I hear that phrase now, the song will get stuck in my head.

If you were somehow fortunate to miss it the first time (I had a small child and there was no escaping), then you’ll need to know what the Disney movie is about. Frozen is about two sister princesses who were originally close but after a magical accident, one locked herself in her room and stayed there until one fateful day: her coronation.

This is a story of love and family. You think it’s the standard Disney movie at first, but it doesn’t end how you’d expect.

Big Hero 6

The other STARZ release is Big Hero 6. Another Disney movie, it’s the first Disney animated movie to feature characters from the Marvel Comics. Hiro Hamanda, a 14-year-old robotics genius in San Fransokyo, spends far too much time participating in the illegal robot fights of the area. His brother Tadashi attempts to help steer him way be getting him into the San Fransokyo Insititute of Technology research lab and that opens Hiro’s world to the university.

He develops a team of superhero robots to take down a masked villain. If you love Marvel, then you’re certainly going to adore Big Hero 6. I’d also say that if you love Wall-E, then you’ll enjoy this movie.

There’s now a TV series that’s developed from the movie. First, watch the movie this weekend now it’s on STARZ.

A bonus show

I know I said three movies, but while we’re discussing STARZ content, I wanted to bring up a show this weekend to watch. Outlander Season 4, Episode 2 airs on Sunday. If you have the STARZ app with Amazon Channels, you’ll be able to watch it from midnight on Nov. 11.

The Children Act

When it comes to Amazon Prime Video, you’ll need to tune into The Children Act this weekend. Starring Emma Thompson, Stanley Tucci, and Fionn Whitehead, this is an emotional tale that will make you think of other religious beliefs and morals.

Thompson plays a High Court judge, who has to make a ruling on a case involving a boy with leukemia. When he and his family refuse blood transfusion and other treatments because of their beliefs, she has to decide whether the treatments should be forced on him. Rather than just listen to the parents, she decides to turn to the child to see what he has to say about his beliefs.

The Children Act is a novel written by Ian McEwan and was developed by him for this movie. It’s certainly one that will stand the test of time and if you haven’t watched it, you need to right now.
