When will Cars 3 be released on DVD and Blu-ray?

Here’s when you can expect to see the Cars 3 DVD and Blu-ray and how you’ll be able to buy your copy on Amazon.

The latest movie from the Cars franchise is now in the theaters. Cars 3 was released on Friday, June 16 and is sure to attract millions of people to the theater this weekend and for the next few weeks of its stays in the theaters.

Cars is one of the movies that is great for the kids but it’s also a movie that adults can enjoy too. That’s why we think it’s going to put up some big numbers at the box office. It may not topple that of Wonder Woman or The Mummy, but it should challenge to be the winner at the box office.

If you haven’t seen it yet, you can watch the Cars 3 trailer, courtesy of Disney-Pixar below.

Whether you’re planning to head out to the movie theater to check out Cars 3 or if you’re just too busy to take the kids to the theater, you will want to mark your calendar for the DVD/Blu-ray release date.

Typically, the DVD and Blu-ray will be released about three months after the theatrical release. That means the earliest we can project the Cars 3 DVD/Blu-ray release date for Tuesday, September 19.

You will be able to pre-order the DVD/Blu-ray copy for your home theater about one month prior to the release. If you pre-order you can lock in the price and ensure it’s delivered on the release day. It’s pretty convenient and something I’ve done frequently for the movies I’ve bought on Amazon.

You will also have the option to buy or rent the digital copy on Amazon Video. This is a nice option if you want to watch the movie once but don’t anticipate watching the movie multiple times. If you’re a one-time viewer, rent the digital copy. But if you’re anticipating your kids wanting to watch it every day for a month, the DVD or Blu-ray is the way to go.
