Recommended reading on Amazon: American Gods by Neil Gaiman
American Gods is a trending new show on Starz that’s based on the book of the same name by Neil Gaiman and you should totally get your copy on Amazon.
It’s been hard to avoid all the promotion from the new Starz series American Gods that made its season premiere on Sunday, April 30. The new series has been heavily promoted on TV and online as the studio hopes this can be a buzzworthy show this spring and attract new subscribers to the premium cable network and make people download their mobile app. But I’m not here to promote the show, I’m here to promote the book American Gods by Neil Gaiman that the show is based on.
If you watched the season premiere and want to learn more or you are in need of a new book to read in May, then make American Gods your top priority. Below you can find the summary of the novel, courtesy of Amazon.
"It is the story of Shadow—released from prison just days after his wife and best friend are killed in an accident—who gets recruited to be bodyguard, driver, and errand boy for the enigmatic trickster, Mr. Wednesday. So begins Shadow’s dark and strange road trip, one that introduces him to a host of eccentric characters whose fates are mysteriously intertwined with his own. For, beneath the placid surface of everyday life, a storm is brewing—an epic war for the very soul of America—and Shadow is standing squarely in its path."
American Gods is available in a number of formats on Amazon and are rather affordable.

American Gods: The Tenth Anniversary Edition: A Novel sells for $7.19 in paperback, $21.02 in hardcover and $9.99 for the Kindle edition. You can also get your copy of the original paperback version sells for $24.99.
And you can always find some used copies from third party sellers on Amazon for a little cheaper than the new price that’s distributed directly from Amazon.
I’m partial to the Kindle versions of books, but naturally, you need a Kindle in order to read in that format. But having said that, there is something about having a book in your hands and flipping through the pages. Whichever format you choose to read, it doesn’t matter so much, so long as you do read American Gods.
