Here’s what you should be watching on Amazon Prime Video this weekend, including Catastrophe season 3 which was released on April 28.

This is the weekend I have waited months for as Catastrophe season 3 is finally streaming on Amazon Prime Video. This is my favorite Amazon Original comedy and the wait was getting to be too much for me. I binge-watched the first two seasons multiple times in recent months to help pass the time. Thankfully, six new episodes of the series starring and written by Rob Delaney and Sharon Horgan are here for viewers and fans to binge this weekend.

Catastrophe headlines the weekend watchlist recommendations and if you haven’t seen the first two seasons, you should totally start. They are only six-episode seasons so you can knock it out in three hours. Plus, season 3 will be the last chance to see actress Carrie Fisher in the series. The late Star Wars actress plays Rob’s mom on the show and while we don’t know how involved she will be this season, the trailer did show she’s in the new season in some capacity.

Below you can see the rest of our recommendations to watch this weekend on Amazon Prime Video.

Vikings

The History Channel series is a real hidden gem on Prime Video and one of the best. If you like Game of Thrones and shows of that ilk, you’re going to fall in love with Vikings if you aren’t already. Now is the perfect time to catch up on the series before season 4B arrives on Prime Video on May 2.

Doctor Who

The newest season of Doctor Who is currently airing weekly on Saturday evening, but if you’re not caught up with the trendy series, you can watch the first nine seasons on Prime now. When I realized how popular this series was, I used Amazon Prime Video to check out the series and now I’m hooked as a result.

Deadwood

There was a rumor earlier this week that HBO shows would be pulled from Amazon Prime Video, but that was debunked and shows like Deadwood are staying put. And it’s a good thing too because the HBO programs like Deadwood, The Wire, The Sopranos and others are prestige shows that help draw in viewers. Ian McShane stars in the show opposite Timothy Olyphant, Molly Parker, John Hawkes, W. Earl Brown, Dayton Callie, Paule Malcomson and Leon Rippy. McShane stars in the new Starz series American Gods, but his finest role as Al Swearingen on Deadwood. All three seasons are streaming on Prime.

If you’re a fan of James Bond movies, then Amazon Prime Video is about to be your new best friend. A ton of the classic Bond movies are coming on May 1, including notables like Goldfinger, From Russia with Love and contemporary Bond movies, Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies, among others. The only current Bond movie you can watch on Prime is Spectre. But give it a watch to prepare yourself for a Bond movie marathon in May.
