When will John Wick 2 be on Amazon Video, DVD and Blu-ray?

Did you get out to the movie theater over the weekend to see Keanu Reeves in John Wick 2? The highly anticipated sequel to the 2014 release was released in theaters on Feb. 10 and was one of the top draws over the weekend.

After John Wick returned to the criminal lifestyle in the first movie, he discovers he has a bounty on his head in the sequel. The action/crime/thriller also stars Riccardo Scamarcio, Ian McShane, Ruby Rose, Laurence Fishburne, Common, Lance Reddick and Claudia Gerini.

If you loved the first John Wick movie, I totally recommend making a trip to your local movie theater and watching on the big screen. However, if you’re simply too busy to head out to the cinema or just prefer to watch movies in the comfort of your home, that’s totally understandable.

If that’s you, then you’ll want to know when you can watch John Wick on Amazon Video and on DVD or Blu-ray.

Update 4/24: John Wick 2 will be on DVD/Blu-ray on Jun 13.

We can provide a projected release date for all of the above so you can circle your calendars. Movies typically come to Amazon Video slightly before they are available on DVD and Blu-ray. Typically, movies take about three months from their theatrical release to be on DVD and Blu-ray.

Therefore, we can project the earliest John Wick 2 will be on DVD and Blu-ray is Tuesday, May 16. Remember, movies only come out on DVD and Blu-ray on Tuesdays. May 16 is the earliest end of our timeline but it could come out oin early June if the movie has a longer stay in the theater.

Working on the May 16 DVD release date, we can project John Wick 2 will be on Amazon Video as early as Friday, May 12. You’ll have the option to rent the movie or you can buy the digital copy if you’re a die-hard fan who will want to watch multiple times.
