Apple is having their big annual September event on Wednesday to announce the release date for the new iPhone 7. In addition to the release date, all the new features will be on display and of course, the hefty price tag that accompanies the latest in mobile phone technology.

The bad news is the price of the iPhone 7 will cost a hefty sum at $649 but storage has been doubled from the iPhone 6 models.

The price will certainly have consumers met with some sticker shock. Deservedly so. This costs more than what some people pay in rent.

Will it be worth the price? That’s debatable and will vary depending on your mobile phone needs. Are you constantly on the go and rarely in front of a computer? If that’s the type of active lifestyle you’re living, then the cost could be worth it.

However, if you are thinking about buying the iPhone 7 for your young son or daughter, I would recommend holding off on ordering the new one. It’s just not worth the risk of having it broken or lost. Plus, the earlier generations of the iPhone are more than capable of handling their mobile needs.

Everything else is “bells and whistles” and it may behoove the consumer to wait a little while after the first release to avoid any bugs or defections in the early model. Then again, if you’re a hardcore technology fan and can’t wait to get the iPhone 7 in your hands, I don’t blame you either. Just be ready to see your bank account take a significant hit.
