While it’s certainly a raunchy comedy at times, it’s also a fantastically put together story with moments that will leave you in stitches while still somehow managing to make viewers feel the love.

Steve Carell plays the titular virgin character, Andy, who is a lovable and hapless nerd working at an electronics store with a group of guys who task themselves with helping him to have sex for the first time. However, fate has plans of its own for Andy as he meets Trish in the midst of all of his pals’ attempts to help him lose his virginity. The results are side-splitting laughter and testament to love being the most important things.
Everything about The 40-Year-Old Virgin’s premise screams that it should be shoehorned as just another raunchy comedy, but it’s anything but. It’s one of the best romantic comedy movies ever and one that would certainly please everyone for Valentine’s Day.
