However, if you’re ready to pay attention to subtitles, you won’t regret having fired up the Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s film.

The film centers around Amelie Poulain, a lonely girl with a wild imagination and a bit of rascally streak. She leaves her hometown to go to the city and work at a café filled with wild characters. However, a series of events leads to Amelie committing herself to the happiness of others, going to great lengths to make things happen in the lives of those around her. In the process, though, she discovers friendship, herself, and also happens to stumble upon love on her own.
Amelie is certainly one of the most unique romantic comedy stories that cinema has to offer as it not only delivers on the tale of young woman’s journey in trying to find herself, but it’s also near impossible for people to walk away from watching it and not have a good feeling deep within them.
