When will The Great Wall be on Amazon Video, DVD and Blu-ray?
The Great Wall, starring Matt Damon and Willem Dafoe is in theaters now but when will the movie be available to watch on Amazon or DVD/Blu-ray?
The Great Wall is now playing in theaters across the country as Matt Damon’s latest flick is sure to bring people to the box office. The movie has seemingly been promoted for months on end, but finally, the moment has arrived to see it on the big screen.
The movie is about two mercenaries who are held inside the Great Wall after a mission to retrieve gunpowder goes wrong. Once inside the wall, Matt Damon’s character uncovers a truth about the wall and has a new and deeper understanding and appreciation for its wonder. With the wall under attack, Damon’s character begins fighting on the side of the warriors who once held him captive in an all-out war to stop the threats facing them.
Tian Jing, Willem Dafoe, Andy Lau and Pedro Pascal also star in The Great Wall from director Yimou Zhang.
If you aren’t able to make it out to the movie theater during the opening weekend or at all during it’s run, that’s okay because we know you’re busy people. Plus, the movie theater isn’t for everyone because watching from home without crowds or assigned seating is rather desirable.
Therefore, you may be waiting until The Great Wall is released on Amazon Video or DVD/Blu-ray.
If you’re waiting, prepare to wait for a little while as it will take three months at least before it’s released to the consumer. That’s the standard turnaround for movies after their theatrical release. With a Feb. 17 release, we can target a May 23 or May 30 DVD/Blu-ray release date. That is the early end of the timeline, but I expect the DVD/Blu-ray of The Great Wall to be out no later than June 13.
Watching on Amazon Video won’t be as long as titles are usually quicker to come there than on DVD/Blu-ray. We project a May 19 release for fans to be able to rent or buy the digital copy on Amazon.
