There’s no denying it: We all love the USA Network’s annual lineup of summer escapism from former favorites like Psych and White Collar to current game changers like Mr. Robot and Suits. While one wins awards and makes us think a little harder, the other has quietly upped the ante for cable dramas.

Now headed for its seventh season, Suits originally began as a typical USA Network feel-good but just dark enough procedural romp, but has since found its sweet spot as it ages. The series’ setup pairs a powerful Manhattan lawyer (Gabriel Macht) with a college dropout hustler (Patrick J. Abrams). While closing cases, the must keep their secret.

If you’re missing the mismatched pairing of White Collar but you’re not quite ready to climb on board with the next generation of the USA Network’s increasingly prestigious original programming, stick with Suits. Characters are still welcome on Amazon Prime Video.
