A new original series from Amazon Studios, One Mississippi comes from comedian Tig Notaro and the Academy Award-winning screenwriter of Juno, Diablo Cody. Inspired by the events of Notaro’s life, the dark comedy follows Notaro’s eponymous character as she returns to her hometown in Mississippi following her mother’s death.

While back home, Tig deals with her mother’s passing, her own health issues, and learns a few things about herself along the way. One Mississippi delves deep into the honesty surrounding life’s darkest moments and the levity one can find within those moments.

On top of the gripping talent of Tig Notaro and Diablo Cody’s charming touch, One Mississippi counts Louis C.K. as an executive producer, as if the amount of talent involved wasn’t already off the charts. With only six episodes in its first season, One Mississippi is a must-watch showcase for Tig Notaro.
