You know them, you love them, you may have even grabbed a cosmo or two with them back in the day, in reruns or on the big screen. Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, and Samantha swapped stories of sexual misadventures and romantic misfires for six seasons on HBO, in turn becoming on of the most-talking about TV comedies in history.

Sex and the City, created by Darren Star (creator of such hits as Beverly Hills, 90210, Melrose Place, and the current SATC surrogate Younger), followed the lives of Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) and her three friends as they navigated the constantly evolving terrain of love and sex. Bradshaw, a newspaper columnist, wrote on her struggles as well as those of Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), Charlotte (Kristin Davis), and Samantha (Kim Cattrall).

In a matter of seasons, Sex and the City became a pop culture institution as it grew into a phenomenon and the world wondered whether Carrie would end up with Mr. Big. The comedy series doesn’t hold back in its exploration of social life, guaranteeing a dialogue on a host of topics and, of course, laughs.
