Amazon Prime Video has certainly upped its game when it comes to original shows. Utopia is one of those surprisingly great additions to the streaming service, bringing a mixture of comedy and thriller.

Based on the British series of the same name, there are multiple questions you’ll get stuck in your head from the beginning. Where is the boy? Where is Jessica Hyde? What have you done today to earn your place in this crowded world? You can hear each of the characters ask those questions so clearly in your mind once you’ve watch the season just once.

While it’s a fictional tale, there are a lot of elements that feel free. It teeters between real life and fantasy, which can make it a daunting show to watch. There aren’t many shows that would do this for fear of upsetting too many people, but Gillian Flynn wants you to either love or hate it. That certainly sparks a discussion.

But in the end, it’s a fictional tale. There’s a lot of entertainment mixed in, especially when it comes to Jessica Hyde and the group trying to get away from the Harvest all because they’ve seen Utopia.
