After her husband Peter Florrick (Chris Noth), a former state’s attorney, is jailed for corruption, Alicia (Julianna Margulies) returns to work in litigation after nearly 15 years as a stay-at-home mom.

From CBS, The Good Wife, a procedural drama, is always one of the highest rated shows on TV.

And, year after year, The Good Wife is almost always nominated for Golden Globes and Emmys in the biggest and best award categories. Depsite being nominated for Best Drama Series for three of the last five years at the Golden Globes, The Good Wife has never taken home the award. Julianna Margulies, however, won the Golden Globe for Best Lead Actress in Drama Series in 2010.

While the rating have stayed up, I think the best days of The Good Wife are in the past, but that doesn’t mean it’s still not one of the best and most popular shows on TV.
