There aren’t many shows about terrorism that leave a mark anymore. Many of them tell a basic story about an event and then don’t follow through with the aftermath. That’s not the case when it comes to Informer. This British import and an Amazon Original in North America has captured the hearts of many.

It’s more than just a show about a terrorist attack. There’s a buildup to the event. This is a show about family and about what one man will do for those he calls his own blood. Raza is unfairly chosen as an informant but puts his life at risk for the sake of those he loves. Unfortunately, his life as an informant affects more people than he would like.

Set in current-day Britain, we get to see the relationship form between informant and police officer. There’s this trust that each one needs, helping to form a friendship on the top of the initial task at hand.

This is, by far, one of the best British imports on the service right now. There are still more stories to tell, so if Britain doesn’t renew it, Amazon should pick it up as a worldwide original.
