If you’re looking for period dramas, Victoria is a series to watch. Based on the true story of Queen Victoria of Great Britain, the series starts with her finding out that she’s queen at the tender age of 18. In a world where men dominate, she quickly works on proving that she can rule the country.

However, to rule, she needs help. That help starts with turning to her favorite advisor, Lord Melbourne. Of course, this may not be the best of people to turn to, as he certainly has a dark history that she’s not completely aware of.

Over the course of three seasons, we’ve watch Queen Victoria grow. She’s become a strong-willed queen, a wife, and a mother. She’s learned lessons in trust and negotiation, but at the same time, learned lessons of love and loss of the people around her.

If you haven’t watched the series yet, now is the time to start. You can watch all three seasons on Amazon Prime Video. A fourth season hasn’t been confirmed yet, but we have plenty of hope about it.
