The Man in the High Castle is based on Philip K. Dick’s novel of the same name released in 1962. The series is an alternate history of the United States that revolves around the U.S. losing World War II to the Japanese and Nazis.
The series is set in the 1960s and tells the story of a resistance and espionage group growing within U.S.
The Man in the High Castle is not quite exactly like the book. Apparently, the book focuses on the West Coast controlled by the Japanese, but the series, in an effort to give a more well-rounded worldview, connects stories from both coasts, the Japanese Coast and the Nazi-controlled Coast.
The Man in the High Castle was the most-watched Amazon pilot. Based on what we’ve seen of the series so far, there’s no doubt it will be nominated for several awards. The series is fantastic.
The fourth season brought an end to the story. While in some aspects it was fitting, there were certainly some flaws and it could have done with one more season.
