The Amazon original series Mozart in the Jungle is loosely based on the Blair Tindall’s memoir Mozart in the Jungle: Sex, Drugs, and Classical Music. Tindall was an oboist in the New York Philharmonic and other shows over her long career. The memoir was adapted for TV by the great Roman Coppola, Jason Schwartzman, and Alex Timbers.

Mozart in the Jungle is fictional behind-the-scenes look at the lives and activities of musicians and symphony performers in New York City.

The second season of the series was just added to Amazon Prime Video on December 30, 2015.
