Will The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live come to DVD and Blu-ray?

There’s a new spin-off of The Walking Dead. The first episode of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live is now available to stream on AMC+, which is available via Amazon Channels.

Subsequent episodes will air Sundays on AMC and stream on AMC+. Of course, you’ll want to know if this is going to be another series to add to your DVD collection. That’s especially the case since it is set as a limited series, which means you won’t have to worry about this show being abruptly canceled.

There is some great news for fans of the franchise.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live is likely to come to DVD and Blu-ray

We will probably see the series head to DVD and Blu-ray in the future. This is despite the series being available on a streaming platform. AMC isn’t one to gatekeep shows on its streaming platforms. Even the AMC+ Originals have sometimes come to DVD and Digital. There is still a lot of benefit financially to releasing shows on DVD and Blu-ray.

We have seen other Walking Dead spin-offs head to DVD. Most recently, we’ve seen the Daryl Dixon series and the one with Negan and Maggie come to DVD. So, we’re fully expecting this one.

When will it happen, though? That is the big question. We’re looking it arriving in a few months. Let’s just take a look at Fear the Walking Dead Season 8, which wrapped up its series in November 2023. It’s coming to DVD this week, on Tuesday, Feb. 27.

The Ones Who Live is going to air its finale on March 31, 2024. That would suggest that we’ll see a DVD release happen around June or July 2024. While we wait for that, episodes will be on AMC+ and will also be available to buy on Digital.
