When should A Quiet Place: Day One come to DVD and Blu-ray?

There’s no doubt that you rushed to theaters to watch A Quiet Place: Day One straight away this weekend. Now you want to know when it can join the other movies in your DVD collection.

This one takes us back to the start. The aliens with supersonic hearing have landed on Earth, and humanity needs to do whatever it can to survive. Sam is just trying to figure out what’s going on around her as it all happens.

We meet mostly new characters. Djimon Hounsou’s character finally gets a name in this movie. It’s time to meet Henri and how the war against the aliens started for him.

When can we get A Quiet Place: Day One on DVD and Blu-ray?

Of course, you want to watch it at home. You’ll want to add it to your DVD collection, but with the movie only just out in theaters, it doesn’t have a DVD release date just yet. This is a Paramount Pictures movie, so we’ll look at other movies from the studio released this year to get an idea of how long to expect.

For this, we’re looking at Mean Girls and Bob Marley: One Love. It took about three and a half months for both of these movies to go from theaters to DVD. That suggests that Paramount Pictures is definitely looking to get back to honoring the 90-day exclusivity window for theaters.

With this in mind, we’re looking at A Quiet Place: Day One to head to DVD around Tuesday, Oct. 8. It should be here in time for Halloween, making it a great franchise to watch for the scariest night of the year.

What about a Digital release? That’s usually much sooner, right? It took a month to a month and a half of the other two movies to head to Digital, with Mean Girls being the latter. We will likely see something like Mean Girls for A Quiet Place: Day One. That suggests sometime around Tuesday, Sept. 13.
