When could Inside Out 2 come to DVD and Blu-ray? (Setting the prediction)

There is absolutely no doubt that your kids are ready for Inside Out 2. They’re dragging you to the theaters already to see it, and they’re making plans to go back.

This movie brings back all the emotions, and introduces some new ones. There is the introduction of Anxiety, which a lot of kids are excited about, and then there’s the arrival of Envy. All this as Riley gets ready for the next stage of life.

Of course, we know the movie will head to Disney+. That’s usually within six to eight months of the theatrical release, but you’ll want to check out the movie at home sooner. The good news is the DVD release is there for you.

Inside Out 2 DVD release date prediction

We don’t have a set date for the DVD release just yet. That’s not surprising since the movie is only just out in theaters. This is a Pixar movie, so we can look at Pixar movies from 2023 to get an idea as to how long the DVD and Blu-ray release could take.

For this, we’re looking at Wish and Elemental. They were the two big Pixar releases of 2023.

It took about three and a half months for both of these movies to go from theaters to DVD. That’s actually a long wait time compared to a lot of other movies right now, but it’s because Disney wants parents to take their kids to the theaters. There’s no doubt that Pixar movies are some of the most popular.

We’re looking at around the same amount of time for Inside Out 2. So, with that in mind, we’re looking at around Tuesday, Sept. 24. This would actually match Elemental’s release. That movie was released on June 16, 2023 in theaters and came to DVD on Sept. 26, 2023.

What about the Digital release? That is usually around two months after the theatrical release, and we’re looking at about Tuesday, Aug. 13 for Inside Out 2.
