When could Mean Girls come to DVD and Blu-ray?

There are some great movies out this weekend, and the Mean Girls reboot is one of the biggest. There is no doubt that it’s the one on your list to head out to theaters to see right away.

After that, you’ll want to watch it at home. You already have the original movie from 20 years ago on DVD at home, and you’ll want to add the reboot to your collection too. The question now is when it will come out.

It shouldn’t be surprising to hear that Mean Girls doesn’t have a DVD release date just yet. After all, it’s only just out in theaters. It’s a Paramount Pictures movie, so we’re looking at other releases from 2023 to get an idea of when we can expect this one.

When could Mean Girls head to DVD and Blu-ray?

For the sake of this post, we’re looking at Scream VI and Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. Both of these were two of the biggest and most highly anticipated movies of 2023.

It took four months for Scream VI to head to DVD, while it only took two months for Dungeons & Dragons to come out. We could see something in the middle for Mean Girls as Paramount Pictures may want to get back to the 90-day exclusivity window for theaters. As this is a big release this year, we could even see something like the Scream release.

This puts us anywhere between Tuesday, April 9 and Tuesday, May 14.

What about on Digital? These have taken anywhere between a few weeks and a month and a half. We could see this come out toward the middle or end of February 2024. That may depend on the success in theaters.
