It’s another weekend, and that means another release of movies in theaters. Civil War is one of those movies.

Civil War stars Kirsten Dunst as a member of a team of journalists with an important mission. Set in a dysoptian future, the journalists learn that rebel factions are heading to the White House to destroy the bit of order that there is. The journalists need to get to the White House to prevent it.

They’re not just journalists, though. They are also members of the military. After all, they need to be considering the fight that they are sure to have on their hands on the journey.

When we should expect Civil War on DVD

This is a movie that is sure to head to DVD and Blu-ray in the future. Civil War is an A24 movie. While they do head to streaming, movies from this production studio also get DVD releases. The problem is the movie is only just out in theaters, so the DVD release date hasn’t been set yet.

We can look at other A24 movies to get an idea of when we can expect Civil War on DVD. We’re looking at the 2023 movie Priscilla for this one. That took just over three months to go from theaters to DVD, suggesting that A24 is back to honoring the 90-day exclusivity window for theaters.

We’re potentially looking at around Tuesday, July 23 for this movie to come out on DVD based on that.

When could Civil War come to Digital?

There is always the release on Digital if you can’t wait for the DVD one. This is sure to be earlier than the DVD release, with Priscilla taking around six weeks.

With that in mind, we could see Civil War on Digital toward the end of May. This is when it will be available to rent or buy via the likes of Amazon Instant Video, iTunes, Google Play, and more.
