What is Role Play starring Kaley Cuoco about?

If you’re in the mood for something like Mr. and Mrs. Smith, you’re in a lot of luck. Amazon has a new movie heading to us at the end of the week. It’s all about Role Play.

The movie stars Kaley Cuoco and David Oyelowo as Emma and Dave. They have the perfect life on the outside. It’s that suburban house with two kids. They have great jobs, and they are happy together. Now they just want to add that something more to the bedroom.

So, what better way than to shake things up? It’s all about role playing, right? And not just in the bedroom.

What happens in Role Play?

The two decide to take their role playing outside in Role Play. They will be strangers meeting up at a bar in an attempt to rekindle the bedroom life they once had. While there, Emma attracts the attention of a mysterious older man, played by Bill Nighy. This man decides to buy Emma and Dave drinks throughout the night.

It seems odd, but they roll with it. That is until the next day when the man is found dead. Of course, it looks like murder, and Emma and Dave become the prime suspects. Only, Emma is nowhere to be found. David is the one arrested, and that’s when he learns his wife has held a huge secret from him over the years they’ve been together.

Emma is an assassin for hire. That can’t be right, can it? Well, it’s something Dave will need to figure out as he figures out who his wife really is. Did she kill the mysterious man? Was the man after her, and did he know who she really was? There are a lot of questions as more secrets come out.

Role Play is coming to Prime Video on Friday, Jan. 12.
