If you’re ready to add more True Detective to your life, there is a lot of great news. The first is that True Detective: Night Country has finished its season on HBO and you can binge-watch all episodes. The second is that the DVD release date is set.

Oh, and we can add in a third bit of good news. The series has been renewed for a fifth season. There’s another standalone case coming.

So, now you’ll definitely want to add the fourth season to your DVD collection. The question is when that will be possible. There is a bit of a wait on our hands.

You’ll need to wait until the summer to see the Jodie Foster-led season. The official release date is on Tuesday, July 9.

There is a little bit of bad news in the sense that we can’t pre-order just yet. Not at the time of writing this, anyway. That’s not surprising with the release date only just being announced and the season only just wrapping up. Keep an eye on the listings to land your pre-order on Amazon to get the price guarantee.

You can watch it online, though. True Detective Season 4 is available to stream on Max. This is available on Amazon Channels, so you can keep all your viewing in one place.

Don’t want a streaming platform? You can buy the episodes on Digital already. This is sometimes delays on HBO and other premium cable networks, but the episodes came out the day after they aired on the network. You’ll be able to buy once and watch as much as you want without the need for a subscription. It’ll get you through the months until the DVD release.
