There’s no doubt that Reacher Season 2 is a fun and wild ride. You’ll want to watch it again, which means making sure you always have it on hand.

As an Amazon Original Series, it is on Prime Video. There’s where it will stay, and Amazon hasn’t removed original content the way that other streamers have. Even if it did, we couldn’t see Reacher being removed. It’s too popular.

That is the main reason to get a show on DVD and Blu-ray, though. It gives you the chance to watch it whenever, not having to rely it being available on a streamer—and not having to keep the subscription to the streamer active.

What does the Reacher Season 2 DVD boxset come with?

Usually, a DVD boxset is worth buying for all the bonus features. This is something Reacher Season 2 sadly doesn’t come with.

There are no deleted scenes or bonus featurettes. You’re getting the episodes and that’s it. This does make sense when you consider that Amazon wants you to keep the Prime Video subscription. When you watch on Prime Video, you get the X-ray content to learn more about the show and the people in it.

A benefit of getting the DVD boxset is the other languages, though. You can set the audio in French and English. Some locations will likely have Spanish, too, but I have the Canadian release. There is also the English audio description for those who need that.

As with so many other Blu-ray boxsets, the series comes in 1080p High definition and 5.1 Dolby Digital audio.

Is it worth the buy? If you want bonus features, definitely not. You’ll get everything you need via Prime Video with the X-ray ability. However, I you want to ensure you will always get to watch it without a subscription, grab it on Blu-ray or DVD now!

Reacher Season 2 is available to stream on Prime Video and will come to Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
