Paramount TV closure will affect Reacher, and here's how
Paramount Global made a surprising decision in shutting down Paramount TV. This is one of the studios behind Reacher, and fans are curious about what this means for Season 3.
In some good news, Reacher Season 3 is still happening. Amazon is looking at a release in 2025, which is certainly some exciting news. What about the series after this, though? Could Season 3 be the last?
CBS Studios is taking over producing Reacher from Paramount TV
Reacher is one of those shows that is produced by multiple studios. As well as Paramount TV, Skydance and Amazon have a part to play in the production of the series.
With the closure of Paramount TV, CBS Studios is going to take over that part of the production, according to Collider. This means that the third season can go ahead as planned. The series was already filming when Alan Ritchson announced that the third season had been confirmed.
Reacher is one of the top performers on Amazon
Reacher broke records when it first came out, becoming Amazon’s most-watched show. It didn’t take long for the series to be renewed for a second season, and while that second season took a while, it was still just asp popular.
Amazon, Paramount TV, and Skydance were all so happy about it that it was renewed quietly for Season 3 ahead of the Season 2 premiere. Work quickly went underway to avoid another long break.
As long as fans keep turning up, there’s no reason to think that the show will be canceled. CBS Studios is now taking over Paramount TV’s involvement, and it will be happy as long as the show does well financially. We’ll have to wait to see how the third season performs, though. I don’t think we’ll get another early renewal, but it may not take long once the third season arrives for a renewal to happen.
