Is Night Swim coming to Amazon? (where to stream after theaters)

We enter a new year, and we’re already looking at the new movies coming out. Friday, Jan. 5 saw the release of Night Swim. Yes, it’s the first horror movie of the year.

The movie follows Ray Waller and his wife and two children. Ray has to retire from baseball due to a degenerative illness, so they moves into a new home with a backyard swimming pool. It should be great fun for the kids and good therapy for himself. However, it turns out that there was a reason that pool was drained of the water.

There’s a dark secret to the home. Filling the pool leads to a malevolent force that will drag the family to the depths of the pool and more. Can they find a way to escape, or are they stuck forever?

Is Night Swim on Prime Video?

Of course, you may not want to head to theaters right now. Instead, you want to wait for movies to come to streaming. What about this one?

In some bad news, Night Swim is not heading to Prime Video. At least, not right away. This is a Universal Pictures movie, so it’s heading to Peacock first.

In 2023, the Universal movies headed to Prime Video shortly after. We’ll need to see what the plans for 2024 are. This is something we’re keeping an eye on.

Is Night Swim on Amazon Video?

There is another way to watch movies on Amazon, though. You can buy many on Digital, which is via Amazon Instant Video. This is a separate part of the company to Prime Video and isn’t included in your Prime membership. Once you buy the movies, you get to keep them for as long as you have your Amazon account.

Yes, Night Swim is going to head to Digital in the future. This is usually within two or three months of the theatrical release. It’s hard to say what the studios will do in 2024 as many try to get back to the 90-day exclusivity window for theaters.

Night Swim is now available in theaters.
