The Man Who Invented Christmas

We may be past Christmas now, but that doesn’t mean you’re not still trying to keep the feeling. Well, you can do that with The Man Who Invented Christmas.

You know the story of Scrooge. Well, it’s time to find out more about the man who created the character. Yes, this movie goes into the world of Charles Dickens, looking at a fictional telling of how he came up with the character and the story of the Three Ghosts of Christmas.

This is a PG movie. Why not put it on early on New Year’s Eve for the kids to enjoy as well. Next Christmas, you can watch a version of A Christmas Carol with a little more meaning behind it.

Divergent

How about a YA movie? Divergent is available to stream on Prime Video, and it’s a great watch on New Year’s Eve. After all, this is a time of year to think about changes and what you want to achieve in your life, and Divergent covers many of those themes.

The movie follows Triss, a young girl in a dystopian future where everyone is split into factions. It’s rare for people to switch factions, but that’s something Triss does. It turns out that she may be something special in this dystopian world, though, and she’ll need to keep herself protected if she wants to save the world from a conspiracy that’s about to happen.
