Most sold Amazon books last week: Hunger Games prequel drops

As Christmas got closer, the types of books sold via Amazon wasn’t that surprising. There were a few Christmas books on the list of most sold Amazon books. There were also some for the kids and those who love romantic novels.

One of the biggest movers on the list was Suzanne Collins’s A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. This is the prequel to The Hunger Games and is set during the 10th Games. Lucy Baird is the pick from District 12 and a young Snow is her mentor.

The novel dropped nine places on the list, dropping out of the Top 10. That’s not surprising as the movie goers move onto other releases in theaters.

How to Lose a Guy Before Christmas down, No Brainer up

There were some surprise movers on the list throughout the week. The first is the way How to Lose a Guy Before Christmas by A.J. Pine dropped two spots. I expected the Christmas book to remain steady at least in the week before Christmas. It could be linked to that it’s only an Audible book, though.

Another surprise move was He’s Not My Type by Meghan Quinn dropping nine places. I didn’t expect a big drop so quickly, especially with Icebreaker by Hannah Grace gaining two spots.

There was only one new addition on the list. Aftermath by Craig Alanson entered in 16th place. It will be interesting to see where it moves on the list this week.

Meanwhile, something that wasn’t surprising was seeing No Brainer by Jeff Kinney gaining four places. Of course parents are buying this in the run-up to Christmas.
