5 more shows you won't believe are turning 5 in 2024
There are many great TV shows turning five in 2024. We’ve already taken a look at five, with three of them being Amazon Original shows. It’s time to look at five more.
Some of these shows have been running for five years and only have two seasons. Others have a decent amount of season to binge-watch. There are even more Amazon Original shows that are turning five this year.
Here’s a look at more shows to check out. You’ll be surprised by some of them!
Euphoria
We start with a series that currently only has two seasons despite it coming out in 2019. It’s been a long wait for Euphoria Season 3, and there are a lot of questions about whether it will really happen. It doesn’t help that a lot of the cast is going on to do bigger things.
Zendaya stars as Rue, a teenage drug addict who is trying to get her life back on track. It’s not all that easy for her, though, especially when people around her constantly do drugs recreationally as well. When she meets Jules, she thinks that she has something to hold onto. However, Jules has problems as well, and that leads for a messy relationship.
Euphoria is available on Max.
Carnival Row
The first of the Amazon Originals on the list is Carnival Row. We had a long wait for Season 2, and it was decided during filming that the second season would end up being the last. It was better than it being canceled during the series run.
Carnival Row is set in a Victorian-style town but with a fantasy element to it. The city has fae living in it, and of course, we see how humans look down on the fae. The first season sees the rise in tensions as a killer is out there taking down the fae and one detective is determined to get to the bottom of it.
Carnival Row is available to stream on Prime Video.
See
If you like dystopian futures, you’ll want to turn your attention to See. There are three seasons of this series to work though, and it was final seasoned when renewed so it does end with closure.
The series is set in a world where everyone is blind. However, twins are born with the ability to see, and now they need to protect their people and their queen. The problem is not everyone believes that being able to see is a miracle. Some believe that it is some sort of curse and an omen that dangerous things are coming, so they want to get rid of the threat of those who have sight.
See is available to stream on Apple TV+.
My Life Is Murder
If you enjoy crime dramas with a bit of a twist, then you’ll want to turn your attention to My Life Is Murder. Lucy Lawless stars as Alexa, a former private investigator who is done with that line of work. All she wants is to enjoy a quiet life.
However, she’s pulled back into the life of solving crimes by a cop friend. In the second season, she moves from Australia back to her home country of New Zealand, and continues helping the police with some of the harder crimes to solve.
There are three seasons currently out, with a fourth season on its way.
My Life Is Murder is available on Acorn TV.
Hanna
The last show on our list of those turning five is another Amazon Originals. Hanna only has three seasons, but it’s written that way. The show comes to a natural and great conclusion.
The series, which was based on the movie of the same name, starts off with Hanna learning that her father may not actually be her father. He has raised her in the wilderness to protect her, but it turns out that there is far more to his story of how he came to get her. Hanna goes on a journey of self-discovery, only to find out that her abilities aren’t natural and there are girls like her created to be super soldiers.
Hanna is available to stream on Prime Video.
