What is Maxton Hall -- The World Between Us about?

There are some great new shows arriving on Prime Video in May, and one of them is Maxton Hall – The World Between Us. This German-language series is a must-watch for Gossip Girl fans.

The series is based on the novel Save Me by Mona Kasten. It’s perfect for those who love stories about different class systems and how the elite will use everything they can to protect themselves. The question is whether they can get their own way, or whether those without the money will end up coming out on top.

Then there’s the question of sparks flying. We all know how these stories turn out in the end, but we want to see the journey to that point.

Maxton Hall – The World Between Us synopsis

The six-part series follows Ruby, a scholarship student at the public school Maxton Hall. One day, she witnesses an explosive secret, and naturally, that means she’s at the risk of the elite.

Millionaire heir James Beaufort is the one with a secret who has the secret. Now he needs to deal with Ruby in any way that he can. Will he decide to keep her on side, or will he try to ruin her? This is the choice he needs to make.

At the heart of the series is a love story. It’s all told over the course of six episodes.

Harriet Herbig-Matten takes on the role of Ruby, the scholarship student who witnesses the secret. Damian Hardung is James, the arrogant rich boy who will do what he can to protect his secret.
