If you’ve watched Band of Brothers and The Pacific, you’ll want to check out the next series that’s set in the same time and made by the same people. Even if you haven’t seen the other two, you’ll want to pay attention to Masters of the Air.

This series is based on true events from World War II. It follows the 100th Bombardment Group, also know as the Bloody Hundred. Air warfare is a bloody and dangerous part of war, and this group certainly saw their fair share of explosions, stress, and death.

Masters of the Air takes us to how air warfare helped to bring an end to World War II. We watch the group of airmen take the war to Hitler’s doorstep, and stop at nothing until their mission was complete.

Is Masters of the Air on Prime Video?

So, where can you watch it? Band of Brothers and The Pacific were on HBO, but that’s not the case for this series. While HBO initially ordered it, the project was dropped. Apple TV+ was the one to save it and bring it to us.

In some bad news, it means that it is not on Prime Video. It likely won’t ever come to the Amazon streaming platform.

Is Masters of the Air on Amazon Video?

A lot of shows head to Amazon Instant Video. This is where you can buy the episodes on Digital to watch whenever you want. It’s hard to say if Masters of the Air will get this sort of treatment.

Band of Brothers and The Pacific did end up going to Digital. This is because all HBO content headed to Digital back then. HBO at the time was just a premium cable network and didn’t have Max as the streaming home. Apple TV+ is a streaming platform, and not many streaming originals head to Digital.
