If you’re in the mood for a space thriller this weekend, you’ll want to head out to see I.S.S. in theaters. Ariana DeBose and Chris Messina star in this movie that threatens to bring back the Cold War.

The movie follows a group of astronauts on the International Space Station. As war happens on Earth, the astronauts are all sent orders from their own countries. The Americans and the Russians are both given orders to take over the International Space Station via any means necessary.

Of course, they have to take the orders seriously, even if they’re not sure about what’s going on down on Earth. And so starts a journey of staying alive while protecting the Space Station from their perceived enemy.

I.S.S. already has a DVD release date

Even before the movie came out in theaters, the DVD release date had been set. According to DVD Release Dates, we’ll get to own it on Tuesday, March 12.

This movie isn’t yet available to pre-order on Amazon, but we are keeping an eye on this. That’s not surprising when you consider it has only just come out in theaters. We don’t even usually have a DVD release date this early.

Interestingly, there isn’t a Digital release date. We’re sure to see the movie come out on Digital as it’s a big theatrical release, but it’s not clear when that will happen. Likewise, we don’t know which streaming platform it will head to yet. Bleecker Street as the distribution rights, and the studio doesn’t have a deal with any streamer in particular.

We think it would be a great movie to join the Prime Video lineup. After all, there is a strong sci-fi presence on the streamer, especially with the likes of The Expanse.
