Hazbin Hotel renewal is bigger than originally expected

How much did you love Hazbin Hotel? Enough to watch it, because Amazon was happy with the show’s performance. It wasn’t long before a second season was confirmed.

Well, SDCC 2024 brought even better news for fans of the animated series. There will be much more to the story.

Amazon renews Hazbin Hotel for two more seasons

As well as Season 2, we’ll also get Seasons 3 and 4 of Hazbin Hotel. There isn’t yet a release date for the second season, but that is in the works right now. What we do know is that Season 2 will have eight episodes. It’s probably that the next two seasons will also have eight episodes.

We also know that the recording of the second season wrapped earlier this summer. That was confirmed during the Hazbin Hotel panel at SDCC. It means that we should see the series sometime in 2025, which isn’t that long to wait for the new season at all.

With the two-season renewal, it means more intricate storylines can be developed. There can be foreshadowing in Season 3 that pays off in Season 4, for example. With the way the show is being developed, we could see Season 3 arrive in 2026 and Season 4 arrive in 2027.

Could a Helluva Boss crossover happen in Hazbin Hotel’s future?

Hazbin Hotel isn’t the only series in its universe. Helluva Boss is another web series that takes place within this universe, and fans of both would love to see crossovers happening. There was some bad news in that there wouldn’t be characters appearing in the second season.

With the two-season renewal, there is some good news. Series creator Vivienne Medrano did say that she would love to see crossovers happen, but there wasn’t the chance in the second season. There is now the door open that it could happen later on.
