Grey's Anatomy Season 21 will be on Amazon (but not on Prime Video)
Grey’s Anatomy Season 21 has started. The premiere aired on Thursday, Sept. 26, and you likely tuned right in.
This season picked up straight off the back of the Season 20 finale. Miranda Bailey made it clear that if Catherine Fox was going to fire all the interns, she would need to fire her too. Well, Catherine isn’t afraid of Bailey—although she might want to get off that high horse! Can someone get rid of Catherine yet?
Meanwhile, there are a lot of questions about what’s going on at Grey Sloan Memorial. Are there any doctors that work there still? Sometimes, it doesn’t seem like it.
Watch Grey’s Anatomy Season 21 via Amazon
There is some bad news when it comes to this series. You can’t watch episodes on Prime Video for free with your Prime membership. This is an ABC series, so it heads to Hulu the day after episodes air. You can watch the premiere episode there right now. At the end of the season, episodes head to Netflix as well.
So, how can you possibly watch it on Amazon? It’s the way we’ve always watched Grey’s Anatomy on Amazon. We need to turn to Amazon Instant Video, where we get the Digital releases.
Yes, episodes of Grey’s Anatomy are released on Digital the day after they air on the network. You can already buy the first episode. You can even get the full season right now. While we don’t get all the episodes at once, they are added to Amazon accounts as soon as those episodes are available. This is usually within 24 hours of airing on ABC, so we get episodes on Fridays.
One thing I love about Digital releases over streaming is that we get to keep the episodes. There’s no need to pay over and over again for a subscription to watch the episodes. Plus, if they leave a streaming platform, we’re not looking for them as we already have them!
Grey’s Anatomy Season 21 airs Thursdays at 10/9c on ABC, with episodes on Amazon Instant Video on Fridays.
