Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire could come to DVD in May 2024

As soon as a movie hits theaters, we want to know when we could add it to our DVD collections. That’s especially the case for a franchise, so it’s not surprising you want to know when Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire will arrive on DVD.

The movie is only just out in theaters, which means there isn’t a home video release date just yet. We can make a prediction, though, and we’ve been on track with most of our predictions to date.

This is a Warner Bros. movie, and we’re looking at recent releases from the studio to get an idea for this one. For the purpose of this post, we’re looking at The Nun II and Wonka. While The Color Purple was one of the more recent releases, it got a special release date and the DVD release was sped up a little.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire DVD release date predictions

It took both The Nun II and Wonka around two and a half months to go from theaters to DVD. We’re expecting Warner Bros. to follow that pattern for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. With that in mind, we’re looking at the release date to be around Tuesday, June 11.

We’re sure to see pre-orders available on Amazon once a release date is confirmed. We’ll keep an eye out for this so you don’t need to.

What about the Godzilla-Kong movie on Digital?

If you don’t want it on physical disc but still want to watch the movie at home, you’ll likely look out for the Digital release. This is different from streaming. With streaming, you can only watch when you pay for the platform. With a Digital release, you can pay for the movie once and watch it over and over again via your Amazon account.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is sure to come to Digital. The Nun II only took a month to head to Digital, but Wonka took about a month and a half. We’re likely to see the latter for the Godzilla movie, which puts the release at around Tuesday, May 14.
