Amazon is adding more than 10 titles to Freevee today (April 1, 2024)

It’s the first of the month, and while today may be April Fool’s Day, Freevee is not joking around with the new content arriving. Take a look at everything you can watch.

There are only 11 movies joining the free streamer today. This is much less than we usually see, but it’s all about quality. The great thing about the list is that there are many cult classics and some favorites for the whole family.

The Karate Kid, Cruel Intentions, and more

We start with something for the whole family. The 2010 version of The Karate Kid is available to stream on Amazon’s free streamer. This is the one that sees Jackie Chan as Mr. Han, a man who young Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) befriends when he and his mother move to China.

The story is very much like the original Karate Kid. Dre ends up facing a bully, Cheng, at school. He needs to learn how to improve his skills, and the maintenance man at the apartment building, Mr. Han, teaches Dre kung fu to give the boy a chance at school. Maybe it will help Dre win the heart of Mei Ying.

For those who love animated movies, The Croods is available to stream on Freevee. This is a great look at how people need to adapt to survive, but not everyone wants to. The family, The Croods, are the last remaining family in their area. The world is coming to an end, and they need to migrate to a strange new place. Are they all willing to follow stranger Guy, or are they all stuck in their ways?

If you’re looking for something after the kids to go bed, the 1999 movie Cruel Intentions is the one to turn to. Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Philippe star as stepsiblings who set up a bet. Gellar’s Katherine bets that Philippe’s Sebastian can’t take the virginity of the school principal’s daughter. If he can, he gets to have Katherine. Of course, Sebastian takes on the bet, but he soon learns that there is more to life than wanting his stepsister.
