Tuesday, April 23 is on the quieter side for DVD releases compared to the recent couple of weeks. This doesn’t mean it’s a bad week, but it is more about quality over quantity. As for Digital releases, there is a new theatrical release already hitting digital platforms.

Drive-Away Dolls, Monkey Man, and more

We start with one of the bigger DVD releases of the week. Drive-Away Dolls is a must-watch for those looking for a mixture of comedy and crime. It follows Jamie, who is going through yet another breakup and wants to head out on the road to get over it. Meanwhile, her friend Marian is ready to loosen up. The two head out on an impromptu road trip to Tallahassee.

Of course, things don’t go as “un”planned. The two end up crossing paths with criminals. These criminals are not the sharpest tools in the shed, but what does that mean for our unlikely heroines?

How about an action movie? Dev Patel stars in Monkey Man, which has only just come out in theaters. You can already buy or rent it on Digital. Patel is Kid, a young man who makes a meager living in an underground fight club. Nobody knows what he looks like as he wears a gorilla mask the whole time.

He is beaten to a pulp night after night for money. However, his childhood trauma starts to boil over, and anyone could end up in his path of revenge.

Do you love the Harley Quinn series on Max? You’ll be happy to hear that the fourth season is available on DVD this week. For those looking for something for the whole family, look out for the animated Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 2.
