Reacher Season 2 among the DVD and Digital releases happening this week (Sept. 17)

It’s not often that we get to see an Amazon series get a DVD release, but that’s happening with Reacher. The second season is one of the DVD and Digital releases happening on Tuesday, Sept. 17.

Reacher Season 2 follows the Lee Child novel “Bad Luck and Trouble.” In this one, our titular character finds out that someone is after his former military unit. He needs to gather the remaining members together to get to the bottom of the conspiracy before it’s too late.

The Crown Season 6, Cuckoo, and more

It’s not the only streaming series heading to DVD and Blu-ray this week. Netflix’s The Crown also goes to DVD and Blu-ray, and the sixth and final season arrives on Tuesday, Sept. 17. This season takes place in the late ‘90s and early ‘00s, starting with the divorce of Charles and Diana, with the first half of the season leading up to Diana's death.

Picking up after the shocking and tragic death of Diana, Princess of Wales, the Royal Family needs to rework the image. However, it’s not the only tragedy the members of the Royal Family will go through. We go through the deaths of Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, and Princess Margaret within months of each other. On top of that is a new Prime Minister who doesn’t want the Royal Family in power at all.

If you’re interested in horror, you’ll want to check out one of the Digital releases of the week. Cuckoo is heading to Digital on Tuesday, Sept. 17. This one follows Gretchen, a young girl who moves to the German Alps with her father and his new family. She finds out that the town has some sinister secrets that it is hiding, and now she’s plagued with visions of someone coming after all.

Would you prefer a mystery? Mystery Island is coming to Digital. This Hallmark Mystery series follows Dr. Emilia Priestly, a psychiatrist for the London Police who heads to a murder-mystery-themed resort to get a break from work. While there, the reclusive founder, John Murtaugh, is murdered and now Emilia has a very real murder to unravel.
