Sometimes, sequels to classic movies aren’t necessary. Other times, they’re movies that we look forward to throughout the year. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is one of the latter, and it’s out in theaters now.

It is a direct sequel to the first movie. On top of that, it honors the time between the release of the movies, bringing us an older Lydia with Winona Ryder reprising the role. Michael Keaton has also reprised his role as the spirit Beetlejuice, which means a lot of fun.

Jenna Ortega will star in this movie as the rebellious teenage daughter of Lydia. The two of them plus Catherine O’Hara’s Delia (yes, she’s back too!) move back into the Winter River home after an unexpected family tragedy. Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her daughter finds a mysterious portal to the afterlife. Throw in someone saying a certain spirit’s name three times, and you have some demonic mayhem.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice will come to Amazon Channels

I swear, I have summoned him in this article alone! Sadly, it’s not to Prime Video, though. This is not a movie that will head to the Amazon streamer. At least, not right away. There’s a chance it will arrive here in a few years, but not immediately.

That doesn’t mean you should get rid of your Prime Video membership just yet. The movie is a Warner Bros. release, and those movies head to Max. The great thing now is that Max is back on Amazon Channels, so you can get it all in one place.

You will get Beetlejuice 2 on Digital

There is always Amazon Instant Video. This is the part of the streamer where you can buy or rent releases. It’s annoying for some people, but you have to keep in mind that you’re not paying Prime Video to watch and then lose it. When you buy a movie on Digital, it’s there to watch over and over again regardless of the streamer it’s on.

Warner Bros. movies don’t take too long to head to Digital. We’ll likely see it within the next couple of months, hopefully with the release on Digital in time for Halloween!
