The Big Spring Sale, as Amazon is calling it, kicks off tomorrow, March 20, 2024, and runs through March 25, 2024. As for timing, it officially starts at Midnight PST, which is 3 am ET. If you live in another time zone, I don’t know, figure it out, I guess?

What is Amazon’s Big Spring Sale? How Much Can You Save?

The bold print up at the top of the sale trumpets that you can get as much as 40% off on items across the spectrum of what Amazon sells. That includes deals on signing up for Prime Video, fashion, electronic devices, toys, Easter supplies, and oh yeah, books. Remember those? Amazon still sells books, if you can believe it.

However, as usual with sales not everything is 40% off… This isn’t a going out of business fire sale for the mega-retailer. Instead, a cursory glance shows that many items are in the 20%-30% off range, which still isn’t bad. That said? Some items are as high as 50%-60% off. Point being, similar to Amazon Prime Day, you might be pulling a lot of all-nighters to snag that perfect, super-discounted item. Sorry.

Are there Big Spring Sale discounts for Prime members?

There’s no specific discount for Prime members for the Big Spring Sale. However, you will get free shipping.

Also, as of this writing we don’t know exactly what the Big Spring Sale deal will be for Prime, but you can pre-snag a 30-day free trial of Prime membership, which will cover the entirety of the Big Spring Sale and then some. And yes, you can cancel Prime membership at any time.

The answer is, we don’t know, as Amazon has yet to announce the official date for Amazon Prime Day 2024. However, the past years’ events have always taken place the second week of July, usually on a Tuesday and Wednesday. Given that, Amazon Prime Day 2024 will most likely take place on July 9 and 10, 2024.
