Alien: Romulus won't head to Prime Video first, but it will be available via Amazon
The next movie in the Alien franchise is now out in theaters. It’s all about Alien: Romulus, which is after the first Alien movie. While it’s out in theaters right now, eyes are on when and where it will be available to stream online.
Like so many other Alien movies, we get a look at why we probably shouldn’t look at space colonization. There is going to be something out there, and that’s what a group of space colonizers find in Alien: Romulus. In the depths of a derelict space station, the group finds a terrifying life-form intent on killing them all.
The movie is set between the events of the 1979 movie Alien and the 1986 movie Aliens. You may want to watch the first one again before you head to theaters to get a reminder of the events.
Alien: Romulus is not heading to Prime Video at first
While the movie is only just out in theaters, we do know where it will head to streaming. This is a 20th Century movie, which means that it is going to Hulu as its first streaming home. It could head to Prime Video in the future, but probably not for a couple of years at the very least.
It’s likely heading to Hulu within six to eight months. You’ll probably get to watch it online at the start of 2025. It was originally going to head to Hulu straight away, but switched to a theatrical release shortly before commencing filming.
How to watch Alien: Romulus with Amazon
There will be a way to watch via Amazon, but it won’t be with the streaming platform. Instead, it’s going to be about the way to buy or rent movies on Digital. You’ll want to head to Amazon Instant Video. All movies that head to theaters tend to get a Digital release, and we see that happening here.
The release is likely to be within the next couple of months. You won’t need a subscription to a streaming platform, and once you buy it, you’ll be able to watch it as often as you want. Why not get the whole Alien franchise?
