911 Season 8 begins on ABC, and here's how you can catch episodes on Amazon
We are more than ready for fall TV to get here. TGIT returns tonight, Thursday, Sept. 26, and it all starts with 911 Season 8.
This season is set to see a lot of change. The 118 lost its captain during the previous season, and now everyone is dealing with a grumpy, homophobic, racist captain, alienating everyone at the firehouse. This is not a season that you’ll want to miss.
Here’s all you need to watch 911 Season 8 on Amazon
In some bad news, we can’t watch 911 Season 8 on Prime Video. This is an ABC series, which means the episodes head to Hulu the following day. Both are owned by Disney, and Disney owns 20th Century TV Studios, which is behind the production of the show. It makes sense for Disney to keep everything in one place.
The show will head to Amazon, though. You’ll want to turn to Amazon Instant Video, the way we have in the past. This means you’re buying the individual episodes, but you get to watch them over and over again without having to pay extra. As long as you keep your regular, free Amazon account, you have access to those episodes.
You’ll be able to get the full season, although episodes won’t be released until they’re available. They drop in your account within 24 hours of new episodes airing on ABC. So, that means we have episodes on Fridays on Amazon Instant Video.
What to expect in 911 Season 8
This season is going to be a big one for change. Bobby Nash decided to retire during the previous season. While he realized that it was a mistake, it was too late to prevent someone else taking over as the 118 captain. And it happens to be Captain Gerrard, who has proven himself to be a nightmare for anyone who isn’t a straight, white man.
Meanwhile, Eddie has to deal with the loss of Christopher. After finding out that his dad was dating the double of his mom, Christopher needed to distance himself. He called his grandparents and they took him back to Texas.
Then there’s Karen and Hen, who lost out on fostering and adoption due to a certain councilwoman who is willing to use her power to get what she believes is revenge. Maddie and Chimney stepped up as emergency foster parents to help with the situation, but how permanent can this situation be?
911 Season 8 will air Thursdays at 8/7c on ABC and will be on Amazon Instant Video on Fridays.
