Soon celebrating its 10th anniversary, the Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig starrer The Invasion might be the least remembered iteration of Jack Finney’s 1955 novel The Body Snatchers. But as the fourth film adaptation of the story, The Invasion added its own spin to the classic science fiction thriller.

Carol Bennell (Kidman), a psychiatrist, discovers the existence of an alien epidemic sweeping the minds of her patients and acquaintances. She consults Dr. Ben Driscoll (Craig) on the rapidly growing virus, which later hinges on Carol’s son in order to find a cure. Can they put a cap on the body snatchers before they completely overturn society?

Although it didn’t leave as lasting of an impact as its previous adaptations, The Invasion stands as worthy selection on Amazon Prime Video and one of the more heart-pounding, cover-your-eyes thrilling versions of the sci-fi-horror romp. But with Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig leading the film, who could bear to look away?
