There’s no denying that A Quiet Place is one of the best horror movies to come out in recent years. It takes on the dystopian future and alien invasion storylines and offers something unique. This time, everyone needs to remain silent. If they make a noise, the aliens will kill them.

It’s a tale of survival and of family. There’s love and loss throughout, and you’ll certainly find yourself on the edge of your seat.

Hype for A Quiet Place began as soon as it debuted as South by South West in 2018. When released in April 2018, it immediately became a financial and critical success, grossing more than $340 million around the world. This was far more than its estimated budget of $17 to $20 million.

While it didn’t win, the horror was nominated for one Oscar for Best Achievement in Sound Editing. However, it did win other awards throughout the season. Emily Blunt won Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role at the Screen Actors Guild Awards and it won Movie of the Year at the AFI Awards.
