There are many movies out there that bring thought-provoking storylines. In recent years, that’s been the attempt more often than not, but not all movies become successful. Invisible Life is one of those thought-provoking movies to check out.
It focuses on two sisters, who grow up close to each other. However, they are separated by a lie their father tells them. Each sister believes the other is half a world apart, but really, the two live in the same city. It’s not as easy as just a quick text message to uncover the truth, as Invisible Life is set in 1950s Rio de Janeiro.
Instead, the two sisters must go on a journey for each other. They chase their dreams, fighting against repression and oppression.
While bringing a story of two sisters, it brings a story of two women fighting against the expectations of men. They’re not willing to follow the patriarchy, and their sisterhood will see them through.
