Hailee Steinfeld made quite the entrance in Hollywood at the age of 14. She landed her first Academy Award nomination for her star-making turn in the Coen brothers’ True Grit. Just six years later, Steinfeld has racked up an admirable résumé, which includes Pitch Perfect 2, hit pop songs (you’ve probably heard her on the radio), and her most recent Golden Globe-nominated performance in The Edge of Seventeen.

Barely Lethal, another starring role for the Hollywood triple threat, follows the exploits of a teenage special ops agent (Steinfeld) who has only ever dreamed of living an average adolescent life. After being assigned to catch an arms dealer (Jessica Alba) by her trainer (Samuel L. Jackson), Agent 83 fakes her death in order to assume the identity of an “exchange student” and experience the majesty of run-of-the-mill teen life.
